Health Policy
All students are expected to be in general good health when attending school. If your child has been exposed to illness and you are aware of it, please do not send your child to school where they will share that exposure with other children that may not have as robust an immune system.

-
Students must be free from fevers, vomiting and diarrhea for at least 24 hours before returning to Creator's Way, following an illness.
-
Students that are coughing should be kept home until they no longer require medication for their symptoms. Teachers and Caregivers will not be able to administer medications. Cough drops are a choking hazard and will not be permitted at Creator's Way.
-
If your child has been exposed to lice, pinworms, Strep, impetigo, shingles, conjunctivitis, Covid, chicken pox, or pink eye, please notify the staff immediately. A general notice will be sent to our community via text message, so that parents can be aware and on guard of any symptoms that may potentially affect each family. HIPPA laws forbid the use of any person’s private health information being shared publicly.
-
We support each family's decision regarding immunizations. Though it is necessary that children be up to date on immunizations before registering for "public school", we understand that some families opt out of this public health mandate. It is therefore imperative that parents do their utmost to protect the health of all of our children and staff by vigilantly guarding against the spread of illness among our caring community.
